Our Heurigen event series goes on: starting in March, Lohninger once again turns rustic
The Heurigen events at Lohninger have become an absolute highlight. Smoked ham, homemade black pudding, a legendary roast pork and classics like Backhendl (baked chicken) or Topfenknödel (curd dumplings) have gained many fans who love Saturday afternoons at Lohninger. Multiple times a year, Erika, Mario and Paul Lohninger bring a piece of Austrian culture into the modern city of Frankfurt and pass on the love for their home through fine Vienna classics and specialties. Not only the Schrammel music is rustic: the white linen stays in the cupboard, the service team sports Dirndl and leather pants, and the bar turns into a gigantic Jausen snack board. The warm dishes are then served at the table. Only when the roast pork is being cut the guests get up in order to get their hands on the crispiest pieces. “By now the Heurigen has become an institution. It feels great to know that our Frankfurt guests love the cuisine from our home country just as much as we do”, says Mario Lohninger.
The next Heurigen dates are March 17, 2018 and June 16, 2018. Heurigen goes from 12 to 3 pm, we take bookings per telephone at +49 (0)69-247 557 860 or directly at the restaurant. Due to high demand we kindly ask you for early reservations. The Heurigen is 45 Euro per person excluding drinks.
